Minority Student Summer Research Opportunity Program

Stipend/Housing
$3,000 - Students who live outside NY metropolitan area are eligible for limited travel reimbursement, campus housing at no cost for non-commuting students
Eligibility
Fellowship awarded to students who historically have been underrepresented in medicine (African American, latino/Hispanic, Native American), prefer students who have completed their junior year of college and intend to apply for admission to medical school or a doctoral program in biomedical science.
Criteria for Selection:
Include excellent academic record and strong interest in research
Dates of Program
June 12 - August 7, 2008
Nature of Program
Students engage in 9 weeks fo research with a faculty member at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, they participate in a special seminar/lecture series together with other college students who are at Einstein for the summer
