Dear SLTP Students:

It has recently come to our attention that the DOE now requires applicants for Library Teacher licensure to submit an official copy of their undergraduate transcript. Once you have applied for licensure and received a confirmation from them that they have received your application, you can send in an official copy of your undergraduate transcript so that they have it on file. If they do not have your undergrad transcript on file when they receive the paperwork from us, they will set your application aside and will not process it. Please be aware that they may request additional documentation, such as a marriage license if your name has changed.

As a reminder, the license that you should apply for is:

Academic: Teacher: Library (All Levels) Initial

I recommend that you apply for licensure at least by the start of your last semester of the program, but you can apply at any time prior to your last semester, and the DOE will keep your application on file.
