Subject: MLA Conference Scholarships
Dear Library Colleagues
On behalf of the Massachusetts Library Association Conference Committee, I am writing to let you know about a scholarship opportunity for library science students. The Massachusetts Library Association will hold a fall conference entitled “21st Century Literacies” on November 17 and 18 at the Doubletree Hotel in Lowell, Massachusetts. This promises to be a great event with lots of fun and camaraderie as well as exciting speakers and workshops.
This year the Conference Committee is providing four scholarships to attend this conference The scholarship covers registration for both days of the conference, lunches and dinners on the days of conference attendance, and half the cost of a single or double room.
I have attached a copy of the scholarship guidelines and application form. The deadline for students to submit their applications is Wednesday, October 26.
Last year four students were awarded scholarships, and had a really wonderful and memorable conference experience. If you have any questions about this, please contact me.
Sincerely yours,
Elizabeth Dickinson
