Morning Program: Thinking Globally Three local healthcare professionals speak on Healthcare Disparity issues: Christopher Gill, MD (Avian Flu) Alice Coombs, MD (Healthcare Disparities in Massachusetts) Ernest Wu, MD (Dancing With Crocodiles: Medical Mission in Ghana, a multimedia presentation)
Afternoon Program: Acting Locally MAHSLIN members show us how they address underserved populations and unaddressed healthcare issues: Sally Gore (All Health is Local: Introducing Go Local Massachusetts) Cara Helfner (Resources and Services for People with Disabilities) Brandy King (Ontologies: Solving the Search Problem for Literature on Media and Child Health) Eric Albright (SPIRAL: Selected Information Resources in Asian languages)
Join us for Continental Breakfast (8:00 – 9:00 a.m.) and a Business Meeting (9:00 – 9:45 a.m.) followed by the Think Globally – Act Locally program.
