Dear GSLIS Community:

I am pleased to announce that on March 1, 2006, Professor Allen Smith will become Associate Dean of GSLIS and Ms. Jennifer Doyle will become Director of GSLIS Curriculum and Communications.

Allen will chair the Curriculum Committee and navigate the implementation of our new curriculum while also working on other related matters such as streamlining the advising process. Allen, originally scheduled to be on sabbatical this semester, will return to assume his new role March 1. Jen will continue to oversee the GSLIS website and publications, but will now also coordinate course scheduling.

Please join me in congratulating Allen and Jen and in wishing them well in their new roles.
