SPECIAL GSLISCE WORKSHOP

You’re studying hard to master the LIS curriculum…reference, cataloging, databases, web design, preservation, management… You’re becoming comfortable and confident about your knowledge base.

But are you really comfortable interacting with people?

One of the MOST important skills needed for a career in the information profession is the ability to interact and COMMUNICATE successfully with people. And to feel comfortable doing it…or at least give the appearance of feeling comfortable.

As information professionals, we genuinely want to share our knowledge and abilities with people (the public) - patrons, colleagues, students, board members, vendors………

But, let’s face it. Many of us are introverted, reserved or shy.

We are (or will be) expected to provide bibliographic instruction, attend meetings, collaborate on projects with teams, report on budgets, make public introductions…..

Learn how to speak effectively…and comfortably. Register to attend the workshop that Dale Deletis has developed specifically for those of us in the information profession who are introverted, shy or reserved.
