Sunday, April 23, High Noon

Join Kelly Jo Woodside for an introduction to the resources available to GSLIS students and alumnae/i at Simmons’ Miller/Knopf Career Resources Library. Kelly Jo, herself a GSLIS alumna, is the career resource librarian. She will give an informal presentation about the resources offered by the CRL and the Career Education Center, including SharkLink and a very comprehensive page of links to archival and library jobs.

The CRL is a great resource whether you are an alumna/us looking to upgrade your position, a soon-to-be alumna/us looking for the perfect first job with your brand new MS degree, or a beginning student wondering which way to turn in a field that runs the gamut from ancient texts and medieval manuscripts to the cutting-edge technology that can be used to preserve them digitally.

Kelly will provide a great lead-in to the LISSA Career Day event that starts at 1 PM and will be available in the office from 10 am until 4 pm for questions, tips, and pointers about your job search.

Both events, along with a RefWorks workshop, will be held in the Mount Holyoke office in the Village Commons in South Hadley directly under the Tower Cinemas.

Schedule for Sunday, April 23

RefWorks | 10 AM - 11 AM (Tentative)
Career Resources Library | Noon to 12:45 PM
LISSA WEST Career Day | 1 PM - 3 PM

See you Sunday!
