New Students Section on MyGSLIS

Dear New Students - Welcome to GSLIS!
Dear Faculty and Returning Students - Welcome back!

I’d like to direct your attention to a new area of the MyGSLIS website, the New Students Community. Please see: http://my.simmons.edu/gslis/communities/new/

These pages were built using data and suggestions contributed by a broad group of students, faculty and staff over the past year. Current GSLIS student Alison Cody deserves the lion’s share of credit for pulling it together and creating additional content for the MyGSLIS site; kudos should also go to Olivia Gatti, also a current student, for developing an outline and content for the upcoming Student Handbook, parts of which were used as a basis for some of the pages on the Web. (I would also like to thank GSLIS alum Khalilah Gambrell for the work she did on this project last summer.)

Though the pages were developed primarily for new students, we hope they are helpful for others as well. We welcome your feedback and suggestions; please direct any comments to gslisweb@simmons.edu.
