Temporary Catalog Team Assistant

The Temporary Catalog Team Assistant provides cataloguing support to a team of senior level catalogue managers. This individual serves as an assistant who directly handles the administration functions associated with cataloguing resources and presenting the content on the Home Page.
Responsibilities
Review existing web links for validity. Maintain a spreadsheet of links that do not have valid urls for deletion.
Update spreadsheet as needed
Compile monthly statistical information submitted by CCMs
Place resources on and remove resources from non-core landing pages as directed
Place resources on and remove resources from non-core portal tabs as directed
Delete links from the Admin Tool (part of the deletion process)
Send out and follow up on catalog information request forms
Run resources (catalog records and web links) to be deleted through the CHS Links Pubs Queries Walker
Maintain monthly spreadsheet of deleted resources
The incumbent of this position must have:
Experience:
4-5 years of related experience
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Exceptional interpersonal skills (including oral and written communication), exercising diplomacy and tact.
Excellent administrative skills and strong focus on attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills demonstrating the ability to use own initiative and work independently.
Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic team player.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment demonstrating the ability to follow-up and follow through.
Proficiency with Windows MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Lotus Notes, Internet and Intranet technology.
Familiarity with library administration an asset.
