The Westwood Public Schools seeks an energetic librarian to teach students in grades K-5 at the Downey Elementary School. Applicants must be certified or nearing completion of an approved MLS program (please send proof of your successful MTEL scores in lieu of certification).

The librarian would be part of a department with four elementary librarian colleagues, one middle school librarian, and one high school librarian. The library schedule is a combination of a fixed schedule and flexible time for collaborative work with colleagues. The position is .8 FTE (4 days/week) with either Thursday or Friday as the day off, based on your preference. If necessary, the position could be .6 FTE (3 days/week) with another district librarian covering the fourth day.

Please apply even if you are a December graduate who would not be able to begin working until December.

Please see below for the details on the application requirements. If you have questions prior to your application, please email Kahla Jourdan at kjourdan@westwood.k12.ma.us.

TO APPLY: Please send a letter of application, resume, transcripts, certification (or proof of MTEL scores if you are not yet certified) and three references to:
