Research Services Librarian
Landmark College, the nation’s premier college for students with dyslexia, ADHD, and specific learning disabilities, seeks a dynamic, innovative librarian with a strong public-service orientation for the position of Research Services Librarian. Come to beautiful Putney, Vermont, and work with our small, friendly team!
Responsibilities: Provides user-centered, caring reference and instruction services. Works with other librarians to provide integrated and innovative library instruction by utilizing a variety of strategies and digital tools. Maintains a close working relationship with faculty, staff, and students, to facilitate an awareness of resources, library instruction, and collection development. Position includes one evening per week.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited program; excellent interpersonal skills; ability and enthusiasm to work collaboratively with others; demonstrated ability to provide library instruction and reference services; a current knowledge of print and electronic resources and of the application of technology to the design and delivery of research services. Above all, the successful candidate must possess the capacity for working flexibly and creatively in a student-centered environment. Preferred Qualifications: experience working with individuals with a variety of learning styles; experience teaching groups.
