We’re still looking for instructors for a few of the Tech Lab workshops this semester. If you feel qualified leading short introductions to any of the following topics, we’d love to hear from you:
- PHP
- Social Networking for Libraries (flickr, blogging, Facebook, Myspace, etc)
- Ubuntu/Edubuntu (or any of the more user-friendly Linuxes)
- XHTML & CSS
- XML
Each workshop is an hour long and will be offered twice in the semester. Attendance usually ranges from 5 to 15 GSLIS students. ASIS&T and the Techlab staff can offer assistance planning the workshop and setting up any hardware or software you’ll need.
Drop us a line at workser@simmons.edu if you’re interested in leading any of these workshops, or if you have another interesting workshop idea.
