ACRL/NEC 2008 Annual Conference: Call for Participation in Virtual Poster Session!

The ACRL/NEC Conference Planning Committee invites proposals for an all virtual poster session. Share your successful projects and achievements with your fellow chapter librarian.
The Conference theme is: “Media and Popular Culture: Effects on Academic Libraries.
In keeping with the theme of the conference we are seeking ?posters? that are presented virtually, i.e. With a laptop or other electronic device. All presenters will show material concurrently, so each presentation should work as an individual or small group demonstration.
Poster session participants must supply all necessary presentation
hardware and software. Wireless internet access will be available and
some electrical outlets.
Suggested Poster topics include (but are not limited to):
Popular material collections in libraries (books, films etc.)
The Media labs in libraries
Libraries in social networking software
Using Web 2.0 techologies in libraries (blogs, wikis, social bookmarking etc.)
To apply to submit a proposal, please provide the following information:

A 200-250 word abstract, which clearly describes the purpose and content of the project
You may include samples of software, graphics etc., if relevant.

Deadline for submission: Applications must be received by Friday February 29, 2008. Email submissions preferred.
Abstracts will be evaluated by members of the ACRL/NEC Conference Poster Session Subcommittee and presenters will be notified by March 15, 2008.
