Nominations for Simmons GSLIS Alumni Board 2008-2009

The GSLIS Alumni Board is seeking two new members to participate in next year’s Board. We welcome diverse candidates from across New England.

We have openings on the Board for:
Director at Large - 2 positions
The Director at Large position is a two year term.

The GSLIS Alumni Association is administered by the Board, whose members are elected at the annual business meeting held during Alumni and Professional Development Day. The Board consists of the immediate Past President, President, Vice President/President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and three Directors. The role of the Association “is to preserve a cordial bond between the Simmons College Library School alumni and the Library School.” Board members are invited to special events sponsored by the Association and Simmons, to alumni receptions held annual conferences of national and local associations, and to fundraising events. The Board plans Alumni and Professional Development Day as well as other events for both students and alumni including career panels and mentoring opportunities.
