The Kensington Public Library is seeking an energetic, friendly person who loves working with children of all ages and their caregivers. He or she must have previous experience working with children and youth in a public library setting. Excellent people skills, organizational abilities, and experience running programs required. MLS preferred.
The Children’s Program Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of implementing children’s programming for toddlers through 5th grade including weekly story hours and the summer reading program. Responsible for developing and maintaining the children’s and young adults’ collections. Acquires children’s and young adult’s materials in a variety of formats. Works cooperatively with the elementary school library. Assists at the circulation desk as needed. 13 hrs. weekly, $13.50/ hr. to start.
