Tufts University Hirsh Health Sciences Library (http://www.library.tufts.edu/hhsl) has an annual opening for a part-time, temporary Reference Assistant.

Responsibilities include supporting library users at the information desk, grading library assignments and creating a spreadsheet to track data, staffing virtual reference, replying to Hirsh Health Sciences Library email, updating the Library bookmark and brochure, verifying interlibrary loan requests and participating in departmental project.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a career interest in medical, academic or special libraries to gain first hand experience of working in a busy reference department in downtown Boston. We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and the ability to learn quickly and independently. Familiarity with Dreamweaver preferred.

Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9-5. Position available immediately through June 30th. $15 per hour without benefits.
