The Massachusetts School Library Association Student Interest Group (MSLA-SIG) will hold its Second Annual Student Conference on Saturday, April 26th in the Simmons Main College Building! If you’re interested in school libraries OR if you are thinking about working with children and young adults, you’ll want to attend.
Free for Simmons students!
The MSLA-SIG is pleased to offer FREE conference registration to Simmons students. Register by our April 16th deadline to receive lunch. Download the registration form at our wiki: http://gslis.simmons.edu/mw/msla_sig/Conference
What’s in store
The conference theme is Getting the Word Out: Marketing Your Library. The conference will
feature sessions on
- gaming in the library
- booktalks for children and young adults
- collaborating with teachers
- bringing guest speakers into your library
- … and more!
Sandy Kelly, MSLA president, will offer the keynote address.
Interested in volunteering?
We could still use a hand with publicity and working at registration the day of the event. Contact Elisabeth Zimmer (elisabeth.zimmer@simmons.edu) or Amy Sprung (amysprung@gmail.com) if you can help!
Questions or comments?
E-mail Elisabeth Zimmer (elisabeth.zimmer@simmons.edu) or Amy Sprung
(amysprung@gmail.com) with any questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
