Unique Summer Job Opportunity

Institution: Fay School, Southborough, MA

Job: Librarian for International Summer School (part-time summer)

Duties/Description: This is a unique opportunity to work with students aged 10-15 from many different countries. For more information about Fay School’s International Summer School program, see http://www.fayschool.org/fay/summer/eslprog.asp.

The summer school librarian reports to the Library Director and is responsible for all aspects of library service to summer school students, including developing information literacy instruction units, collaborating with teachers to design research projects, helping students, circulation and collection maintenance.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM from June 26 through August 8. There is a possibility for extra residential duties if desired. The ideal candidate will have great enthusiasm and creative ideas for working with teachers and students.

Qualifications:
•* Bachelor’s degree and some work towards MLS
•* MLS students are encouraged to apply, especially those with School Library Media concentration
•* Some library experience is a plus
•* Excellent electronic research skills
•* Excellent oral and written communication skills
