Director of Academic Resources and Library Services

Enderun Colleges, an innovative four-year college with bachelor degree programs in the fields of International Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts in the Philippines with a focus on General Education and Liberal Arts and courses soon to begin in China, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Director of Academic Resources and Library Services. The Director of Academic Resources and Library Sciences reports directly to the Provost. The Director provides leadership, direction, and supervision for all Enderun Colleges Libraries and Learning Resource Centers staff, including the Manila Campuses and China courses, participates in institutional planning, and administers the Library budget.

The Director should have at least a MLS with some professional experience in higher education; supervisory experience is preferred; experience developing resource centers and writing centers is an asset; experience developing and managing periodicals and reference collections; Additional responsibilities will include preparing technologically skilled reports, evaluating services and resources, contributing to statistical data collection efforts; attends staff and faculty meetings, participating in staff and faculty projects and planning activities, developing new programs in collaboration with faculty, contributing to the formation of academic policies. Additionally, the Director will be required to undertake teaching responsibilities for some general education courses.

The successful candidate will have a record of meaningful and successful administrative and fiscal responsibility and skills. This person will have an understanding of, appreciation for, and commitment to multi-cultural education, teaching using multiple learning approaches, use of technology in the educational programming, creativity and organizational change for continuous improvement. This person must be of unquestioned integrity and ethics with demonstrated ability to be decisive, flexible and able to adapt to an environment of intense growth.
