Are you a new graduate with recent experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical area? Our client, a specialized management consulting firm voted one of the best places to work in the Research Triangle Park area by the Triangle Business Journal, is currently seeking an information professional to join their Research Services team in Raleigh NC. The Research Analyst/Consultant will work within a group of experienced pharmaceutical and business researchers who conduct in-depth research in support of important internal initiatives and external projects.
The Research Analyst/Consultant will interpret information requirements based on an understanding of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare industries; identify appropriate information resources; design and execute complex search strategies; analyze and summarize findings; and present the results in a variety of formats as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
An ALA-accredited master’s degree in library science is required.
Six months to one year of relevant work experience, preferably with a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company, is required. Internships in those categories will be considered.
Expertise conducting online searches of commercial and publicly accessible information resources relevant to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare industries including pharmaceutical pipeline databases, such as ADIS R&D Insight and Pharmaprojects, and medical literature databases, such as Medline and EMBASE. Knowledge of business information resources is also required.
Ability to manage shifting priorities and competing deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
