PLG, ASIS&T, and SIR present a panel discussion on the Digital Divide on Monday, April 7, at 3:00 pm. Speakers will address access to technology from rural, urban, and international perspectives, and we’ll talk about how libraries can impact this important issue.

Speakers include:

  • Pat Oyler, GSLIS faculty member, who will talk about technology and access issues she has encountered working extensively with libraries in Vietnam.

  • Susan O’Connor, of the Timothy Smith Network, who will talk about providing computer access and teaching tech skills to residents of Roxbury, MA.

  • Jessamyn West, blogger at librarian.net, who will share her experiences offering technical support to libraries throughout rural Vermont.
