The USS Constitution Museum seeks an Archivist/Librarian

The Museum
The USS Constitution Museum serves as the memory and educational voice of USS CONSTITUTION, by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the stories of “Old Ironsides” and the people associated with her. The Museum seeks to provide a hands-on, minds-on environment where inter-generational groups seeking an enjoyable, educational experience can have fun and learn as they explore history together. The Museum is a free, not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1972, welcoming over 300,000 visitors annually. The USS Constitution Museum is located in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard, just across the dock from “Old Ironsides,” which remains a commissioned naval vessel.

The Museum houses the world’s largest single collection of artifacts, documents, photographs, and other materials related to USS CONSTITUTION. Recognized through the “Save America’s Treasures” program, the nationally significant and ever-growing collections document CONSTITUTION’s construction, crew, career as an active warship, restorations, and status as a national symbol.
