Billerica Public Schools
Anticipated opening beginning September 2008-Locke Middle School
Full time teacher/librarian for busy 700+ student middle school media center

The successful candidate will have:

• Knowledge and proficiency in 21st Century information technology skills and will be able to work collaboratively with teachers and students in an active learning environment.
  
• Massachusetts School Library Certification/ MLS
  
• Background in children’s and young adult literature, experience with middle school aged children, 21st Century technology skills, communication skills and an ability to collaborate with teachers integrating information literacy and Big 6 into the curriculum.
  
• Experience using library automation software for collection development, management and library administration.
