Job: Technical Service Assistant at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., One Financial Center, Boston
Duties/Description: We are looking for a Technical Service Assistant to join our growing Library & Research Services Team. This position will report to the Director of Library Services.
Primary Responsibilities:
It is expected that the Technical Service Assistant will:
- Document cataloging and material processing standards currently in practice and update as appropriate.
- Make all new acquisitions and keep accurate records.
- Handle vendor correspondence.
- Invoice reconciliation.
- Management and care of physical collection.
- Troubleshooting automation system challenges with serial control and bib records.
- Electronic newsletter distribution.
- Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience working in a law firm library.
- Self-directed individual with proven ability to initiate and manage projects from inception to completion.
- Familiarity with legal collections and publishers.
- Extremely detail-oriented and efficient.
- Must be able to work both independently as well as with a team.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues, vendors, and a diverse clientele.
