Reference and Instruction Services Librarian
Bay Path College Library seeks a creative Reference and Instruction Services Librarian with a strong commitment to public service. This full-time position coordinates the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of reference and instruction services.
Responsibilities include providing traditional and electronic reference services; coordinating the information-literacy program; designing and teaching course-integrated and class-related classes in information literacy; helping to create and maintain the Hatch Virtual Library; collaborating with faculty; and supervising part-time reference and information literacy librarians.
Qualifications include an MLS from an ALA-accredited program, reference and instruction experience in an academic library, knowledge of online databases and Internet resources, experience creating Web pages, familiarity with trends in information literacy instruction and curriculum design, administrative and supervisory experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to work one evening a week and some Saturdays.
