Young Adult/Reference Librarian - Seabrook (NH) Library

Duties: Plan and implement programming, collection development, reference and reader’s advisory services for young adults; maintain a welcoming environment for teens; provide outreach services to the schools; plan and coordinate book displays, bulletin boards and other publicity materials; provide reader’s advisory and reference assistance to patrons of all ages at the reference desk; maintain library website and blog; perform other library duties as needed to maintain efficient library operation.

Qualifications: ALA-MLS or equivalent; strong interest and/or experience in youth services; excellent written and oral communication skills; computer literacy; and a desire to be a team player.

Seabrook is a small town on the NH seacoast with easy access to big cities, beaches and the mountains. The Library is new, modern, fully automated and has a terrific staff and collection.

Closing date: Available immediately (6/6/08). Open until filled.

Salary: Commensurate with experience. Includes excellent benefits package, including full medical & dental. Requires 2 evenings per week and an occasional Saturday.
