Rivier College has a position available for a full time Educational Resource Center/Reference Librarian. The Cho Educational Resource Center (ERC) is a curriculum support library designed to serve the research needs of the College’s education students. The ERC is located in the Education Center, a facility separate from the main (Regina) Library. The ERC is fully part of the College’s Library system and the Library’s User Services Department.
Job description:
Manage all services and functions of the ERC. Participate in all User Services Department functions such as circulation, reserves, shelving and the like as needed. Provide library reference services to faculty, staff, students, and other library patrons and provide classroom library instruction at the libraries. Serve as liaison and collection development specialist for Education faculty and other subject areas as assigned. Participate in the design and update of the Regina Library web page. Keep abreast of current developments and trends in the field, particularly in technology. Attend relevant professional meetings and conferences. Serve on College committees as assigned.
Qualifications:
MLS degree or MLS degree candidate. Excellent customer service skills a must; reference and database searching experience necessary; experience with web page editing and design preferred; library instruction experience preferred.
