Position: Librarian / Archivist / Editor / Webmaster
Job Description: Oversight of the Club’s 15,000 volume Library, art collection, website and archives. Production responsibility for monthly newsletter and annual book.
Day to Day:
- The Library is operated as an amenity for the membership. Roughly 10% of the Club’s 1,500 members make use of the Library regularly, primarily as a source of current fiction and non-fiction, and to a lesser extent as a research facility.

- The Librarian, at the direction of the Committee, organizes literary evenings, roughly ten times per year, where authors address the membership in a social setting.
- The Librarian edits and publishes the Club’s annual Blue Book which contains house rules, Club history, membership roster and committee reports.
- The Librarian also coordinates production of an eight page monthly newsletter advising the membership of events taking place at the Club. The newsletter is published both on paper and via the Club’s web site.
- The Librarian maintains the established web site and posts new information and photographs on a regular basis.
- The Librarian is also charged with imposing some order on our Club archives, which includes paper files, ephemera, photographs, and some other media. The project has been started, but needs attention and commitment to carry through to create an organized, usable, and well-preserved collection in time for the Club’s upcoming 150th anniversary.
