Head Tech Services Systems Librarian
Under the direction of Head of Information Resources/Exhibit Projects, the incumbent manages the Technical Services staff, evaluates, monitors and plans the work flow for Acquisitions, Cataloging and materials repair functions of the Research and Children’s Libraries. Maintains and coordinates information systems for the Library and Archives, including web presence. Oversees the department budget. ALA accredited Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science required. Experience working with integrated library systems is essential. Two to three years Technical Services management experience. Knowledge of USMARC formats, bibliographic control and familiarity with library acquisitions. Familiarity with Voyager a plus. Excellent communication skills required, both written and oral, especially the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users. This is a part time position- 30 hours per week.
