Funding available for January 2009 volunteer trip to Nicaragua

A fellowship in the amount of $750 will be available to students participating in the January 2009 volunteer trip to Nicaragua (coordinated by Simmons International Relations (SIR)). The funding details are:
- Fellowship recipients will be required to contribute a minimum of four blog posts to the GSLIS Dispatches From the Field blog http://gslis.simmons.edu/blogs/dispatches/.
- If the winning student does not attend the January 2009 program, the award monies must be returned.
Application Procedure: Submit a current resume, unofficial transcript (print off AARC), and a 500-word essay to the GSLIS front desk (P-111) no later than November 10, 2008. The essay should explain how this experience will benefit you in your field of study and what you expect to gain personally from your time abroad.
Application Deadline: November 10, 2008.
