MISSION HILL SCHOOL LIBRARY
The Mission Hill School, a Boston Pilot school serving children in grades k-8, is about a 15 minute walk from campus. This school has an 10,000 volume library which is outdated and partially catalogued and is in the process of trying to get fully automated with the Sagebrush catalog system. A number of GSLIS students recently did a service day at the school and processed a significant number of books, but there is still much more work to be done. We will be planning additional service days during the Simmons spring break. In the meantime, students who are interested in volunteering on a regular basis can contact Maura O’Toole at maura.otoole@gmail.com. Students that might be interested in participating in the spring break service days can contact Michelle Sterk Barrett at sterk@simmons.edu.
