Adult Services & Outreach Coordinator - Langley Adams Library (Groveland, MA)

Assists the Library Director in planning, implementing and managing library services for adults and coordination of outreach programs.

Duties/Description: Innovative, energetic and professional team player needed to plan, develop, promote and provide library services for the community. Responsible for adult programming and coordination of adult volunteers. Shares responsibility of library publicity and promotion of the library through print and the library’s website. Participates in the day to day policies and procedures of the library and will be an active participant in the long range planning of library services. This is a permanent part-time position (28 hours/week) including some evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and library experience required. Must have knowledge of professional library methods, resources and practices; must be highly self-motivated, creative and flexible with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently; must have the ability to work with the public in a professional and positive manner; must be proficient in the use of computers, especially with regards to web and bibliographic resources; and must have a commitment to provide excellent library and customer service to the community.

Schedule: 28 hours /week

Salary: Hourly wage, plus full benefits including vacation, sick and personal days
