Attention GSLIS Artists - Exhibition opportunity
Panopticon, the art librarianship and visual resources interest group, invites visual artists in the GSLIS community (we know you’re out there!) to exhibit artwork in the GSLIS Technology Lab during the spring semester.
This is the 2nd exhibition hosted by the GSLIS Technology Lab and Panopticon. This initiative seeks to benefit GSLIS by making the lab a more visually engaging space and by drawing attention to the number of artists within our community.
Submission Guidelines: Artists may submit multiple works for consideration, in any format. There are no specific size or media restrictions, but please be aware that not all work will be able to be accommodated. All work should be ready to display.
Please email jpgs of work to be considered along with your name (as you will want it displayed with work) and contact information to panopticon@simmons.edu by January 2, 2009. Artists who are unable to email jpg files should email Panopticon to arrange physical delivery of work.
Image files should be named with the artist’s last name and title of the work (ex: Smith_blue painting) and approximately 4 X 6 in. at 300 dpi.
Include the following information for each submitted work: Title Medium/format Date Dimensions Hanging instructions
Exhibiting artists will be asked to supply a short bio to be hung with the work.
Submission Deadline: January 2, 2009 Exhibition Dates: January 23 - May 2009
