GSLIS West Inclement Weather Policies

GSLIS West students and faculty:

Now that there is a nip in the air, here is a reminder about the GSLIS West policies for closing for snow, storms, and other weather emergencies. For inclement weather announcements for Simmons GSLIS West, please call the office at 413-533-2400. An announcement will be placed on the greeting for voice mail.

Notification will also be made through email using the gslisatmhc-l list, a listserv to which all GSLIS West faculty members and students have been added. On Saturday, the voicemail notification and the email will be available by 7:00 am, or roughly two hours before the first class on Saturday. On Thursday, we will decide by mid-afternoon. GSLIS West endeavors to stay open, that is, we rarely close. If school is open, but you cannot come to class because of local weather conditions, please send an email to the teacher of your class.
