Title: Head of Circulation, Bedford Public Library, Bedford, New Hampshire, Full-time

Duties: The Bedford Public Library seeks an energetic, friendly person to serve as the Head of Circulation. The person will be responsible for planning, organizing and supervising all aspects of circulation activity at a busy public service desk. Duties include training circulation clerks to use the library software, running reports, resolving issues with patron accounts, overseeing collection management, assigning tasks to volunteers. 40 hrs. per week including one evening per week and weekends in monthly rotation.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program and library experience preferred. Must have commitment to excellence in public service, strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, administration, trustees and patrons. Excellent computer skills required. Must enjoy assisting patrons in the use of library services.
