INTERNSHIP, VISUAL RESOURCES LIBRARY, SCHOOL OF THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, BOSTON

The Museum of Fine Arts Libraries and Archives have become members of ARTstor. The School of the Museum of Fine Arts’ Visual Resources Library’s Digital Image Collection will be hosted by ARTstor in the 2009 Spring or Fall semester.

There is an internship available in the Visual Resources Library (VRL) for a Simmons student in the 2009 Spring semester (10 hrs/wk). The intern should have a strong knowledge of Art History and will be responsible for Excel data entry. The data will accompany the digital images that the VRL submits to ARTstor. ARTstor’s Institutional Hosting staff will use these Excel sheets to create an ARTstor Core Database for the Digital Image Collection of the Visual Resources Library.

Unfortunately, the internship is not a paid position. However, it is an opportunity to experience working in a visual resources library, within an art library, the W. Van Alan Clark, Jr. Library at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts.

Interested Simmons students should contact:
