Library Director - Uxbridge Free Library (Uxbridge, MA)

The Uxbrige Free Public Library in Uxbridge, MA is seeking a motivated and innovative person for the position of Library Director.

QUALIFICATIONS The candidate must have an MLS from an ALA accredited institution and be certified by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

DUTIES The Library Director is responsible for the management of the staff, the preparation of the annual budget, community relations, collection management (both circulating and historical), and for the library facility. The Director is also responsible for upgrading, maintaining, and evaluating technology as appropriate. Excellent communication and management skills, are required. The Director works with staff, Town officials, Friends of the Library, and rep[orts to the Board of Trustees.

SALARY The salary for this position is commensurate with experience.
