NEA/SCoSAA Job Shadow Program

Please join SCoSAA and the New England Archivists for the 1st Annual Archives Job Shadow Program! Any GSLIS student who would like to learn more about the archives or records management professions is more than welcome to sign up. This program provides an opportunity for you to visit a repository for a half or full day and experience a “day in the life” of an archivist or records manager. March 2nd is the deadline for anyone wishing to sign up and the forms are available online here:

Once we receive your form, you will be matched to a repository that most closely fits your request. An email will be sent to you shortly after March 2nd with your host’s contact information. Please note that you are expected to contact the host to schedule a visit!

In addition to learning about the profession, you are also encouraged to ask your host/mentor for any advice regarding resumes and job hunting. Please feel free to send any questions regarding the program to scosaa@simmons.edu.
