Welcome, New Students!

GSLIS New Student Advising Day, Fall 2008

Advising Day for students starting the Boston program in September will take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Simmons College. An Advising Day Agenda, including information about requirements and upcoming deadlines is now available on the Boston Campus Advising Day pages.

Advising Day for students starting the GSLIS West program in September will take place on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Mount Holyoke College. Updated information is available now on the Mount Holyoke Campus Advising Day pages.

Advising Day is an opportunity for new students to connect with each other, meet with their advisor, and take care of administrative errands before classes begin. Advising Day is mandatory for all students beginning their coursework in September 2008. Please send an email to gslisstudentservices@simmons.edu if you have a scheduling conflict.

Save the Date: Advising Day for students beginning the Boston program in January 2009 will be on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Those of you moving to Boston to attend GSLIS might want to combine this with an apartment-hunting trip. Advising Day for GSLIS West students beginning the program in January has not yet been set – stay tuned for more details.
