Academic & Administrative Resource Center

The Office of the Registrar welcomes you to Simmons College! We have a website called AARC, which provides access to online academic information for Simmons students and faculty members. Students will use this website to register, view their class schedules, and check their grades. Instructors will use it to post their grades, track their advisees, and view their class schedules.

All users of AARC must first activate their Simmons College Email account. Once this is done you will be eligible to use SOAR. For assistance with your email please contact the Help Desk at 617-521-2111. If you have never used AARC before and have your email account activated simply go to the website: http://aarc.simmons.edu/ Click on AARC for Faculty or if you are a student click on AARC for Students. Choose the option "I'm New to WebAdvisor." this will lead you through a series of prompts that will email your username and password to your Simmons Account. Once you have retrieved this information from your Simmons email simply log into AARC using this temporary information. You will immediately be prompted for a new password. This password must be 6-9 characters and must contain letters and numbers. This application is case sensitive, so please be sure to take notice of whether you are using upper or lower case letters. You will be required to enter this password twice to confirm. The last step the login process is to provide an optional PasswordHint. This hint is to help you remid yourself of your password in the future. Your hint cannot contain your password.

Accessing AARC

AARC can be accessed by logging on at http://aarc.simmons.edu or through the Simmons main homepage at http://www.simmons.edu/.

Main Menu

When you reach the main menu for AARC, choose either AARC for Students or AARC for Faculty. Only Simmons instructors have access to AARC for Faculty. Once you have chosen your student/faculty option, you will arrive at the main menu for AARC. This menu outlines all of the resources that AARC has to offer. Click on the resource link of your choice, and you will then be brought to the AARC login page

Logging in as New User

If you have never used AARC before, enter your username in the field labeled User Name. This user name should be entered in all lowercase keys. You will enter the PIN code issued to you in the field labeled password. As soon as you enter your PIN code, you will be prompted to enter a new password of your choosing. This password must be between 6 and 9 characters in length and contain both letters and numbers. This application is case-sensitive so please be sure to take notice of whether you are using upper or lower case letters. You will be required to enter this password twice to confirm. The last step of the login process is to provide an optional Password Hint. This hint is to help remind yourself of your password in the future. Your hint cannot contain your password.

After successfully logging in to AARC, you will be able to access your academic information online, making it easier than ever to register, check grades, find classes and more!
