Posted June 06, 2006

Are you wondering how to set up a budget you can really live with? Would you like to build a financial plan that includes savings and investment strategies? Do you want to know more about gaining income, experience, and contacts through temporary employment while you hunt for a job?

If the answer is “yes,” then join us this Friday, June 9, from 1-3pm in the Career Resource Library for a financial planning workshop.

Speakers will include:

Leslie Mitchell ‘04, Staffing Manager, Accountemps

Chitra Staley ‘82SM, President, TPW Financial
(Prior to starting her own venture, Chitra was a financial planner with The Program Works in Cambridge, MA.)

This session will include a peer support discussion on job-seeking and post-graduation concerns, as well as time for refreshments and networking.

“Paying the Bills” is part of the Transitions: Classroom to Career program, produced by the Miller/Knopf Career Resource Library and funded by a Centennial Grant from the Alumnae Association of Simmons College. Transitions is designed especially for new graduates, but all members of the Simmons community are welcome to attend.
