The Library wants YOUR recommendations for MAGAZINES
Posted October 16, 2007
Are there fun and interesting magazines that you like to read that you wish were available in the Library?
Are there international magazines you think should be in the Library that reflect your culture and language, or a culture and language you’re trying to learn?
The Simmons Library is developing a Diversions Periodicals Collection of about 35-40 magazines for students and staff to read for reasons other than research and direct curricular support. The collection will focus on magazines that promote specific topics, such as Advocate and Ebony. It will also have general news magazine like Time and Newsweek. Diversions periodicals will also include magazines that focus on entertainment, such as People, Vogue, and Vanity Fair.
We are looking for your suggestions for what to include as part of this collection. Please email periodicals@simmons.edu or drop off your recommendations at the Reference Desk by November 9. Include the title of the suggested magazine(s), and if you’d like to be notifed of the final collection, your name and email.
