Party June 19 in the Library to Celebrate MassBLAST!

Celebrate MassBLAST with us on June 19 in the Alden Trust Seating Area of the Library (2nd level), 3:30pm to 5:00pm! Refreshments will be served.

In 2005 the Library was awarded an IMLS (Institute of Museum and Library Services) grant for a 3-year project called MassBLAST —Building Library Awareness and Staff for Tomorrow in Massachusetts. This project expanded an existing library internship program at Simmons and UMass Boston for high school students to eight additional sites across the state, and developed a website with curriculum and student-created videos: www.simmons.edu/massblast. This celebration will showcase the work of our wonderful teen library interns, and honor the staff who have worked to make the program a success.
