Tip for Using Ereserves Through eLearning in IE

Some students using Internet Explorer on a Windows computer are unable to access the Library e-reserves when working in eLearning from off-campus.

A solution to this problem has been identified, and step-by-step instructions are below. Alternatively, if you require assistance resolving this issue, please contact the Help Desk at x2222.

Step-By-Step Resolution

• Open Internet Explorer

• From the “Tools” drop down menu select “Internet Options”

• Select the “Privacy” tab

• Click the “Sites” button

• In the text box underneath “Address of Web site” type “library.simmons.edu”

• After typing this, click the “Allow” button

• Next, click the “OK” button at the bottom of the pop-up window

• Click the “OK” button at the bottom of the next pop-up window

• Restart Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect
