According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, which recently released the results of its Job Outlook 2006 survey, the graduating class of 2006 can expect the best job market in four years. However, NACE reminds students not to sit back and relax. “Students need to be aware that they have to work to find the right job with the right organization. They should start with their college career center, where they’ll find expert advice, resources, and connections to employers and jobs.” So make an appointment at Simmons’ Career Education Center (http://my.simmons.edu/services/cec/) for help with resumes, interviews, self-assessment tests, and more. And check out Sharklink (http://sharklink.simmons.edu/), for internship and job listings specifically geared to Simmons students and alumnae/i.
NOTE: The complete Job Outlook 2006 survey report is available in the Career Resource Library.
