According to this article, “one of the best ways is to mention academic connections or professional activities that are minority related.” If you belong to a professional association or a student group for minorities, or if you have participated in related civic activities, be sure to mention it on your resume and/or cover letter! Also consider asking potential employers about their commitment to diversity.
