June brought a mixed bag for employment statistics in Massachusetts. In the wake of a recession that’s cost thousands of jobs statewide since early 2001, last month the Romney administration was finally able to claim some progress: for the first time since he took office, the state showed a gain in jobs, though it is still 150,000 shy of the pre-recession figure. With a gubernatorial race coming up this year, it seems everyone has an opinion of the Massachusetts job market.
