“MassGap fills gender gap: Group helps women get top posts”

MassGap (the Massachusetts Government Appointments Project 2006) is a group that formed shortly before the last gubernatorial election to help create the type of clout for women that men have long enjoyed in the political world. To that end, they collect resumes from women candidates and recommend them to elected officials for senior level positions in government. The group is not asking for any special privileges, only that women be afforded “equity, exposure, [and] credibility.” With another gubernatorial election coming up, hopefully the number of women in top office will continue to rise.
