As of August 1, jobseekers in the area of library and information science and technology have a brand-new online resource for finding jobs: JobList.
This resource reflects a consolidation of the job sites for American Libraries magazine, the Association of Academic and Research Libraries, and the American Library Association. Employers can post their job notices for a fee, and jobseekers can browse the many job postings for free.
The job listings are sorted based on many criteria, including type of library, date of posting, state, institution name, salary range, and others. Jobseekers who register can also post their resumes online. The intention of the developers of JobList is to make job hunting a “one-stop shop” for candidates in the area of LIST.
NOTE: For additional job resources in library and information science, visit our e-Library at http://my.simmons.edu/library/collections/career/library.shtml.
