Statistics indicate that more African-American women are taking the leap into entrepreneurship. A number of women are experiencing frustration with the corporate environment and choosing to create their own companies, which will accommodate other demands in their lives. Nonetheless, African-American women’s companies are still lagging behind those of their male counterparts in terms of size and revenue.
